Re-Roofing, Roof Repair, & Roof Inspection

Re-Roofing, Roof Repair,
& Roof Inspection
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, your roof system receives more exposure to the elements than any other part of your building exterior. A roof system represents a building’s first line of defense against nature - protecting your interior assets. It begs the question, is your roof system and chosen contractor a wise investment?
At Marriott’s Roofing we will assess your current situation and provide you with the best option to meet your specific needs.  Here are the services we offer:
Re-Roofing

Residential roofing materials now available in the market have improved greatly over the last decade or so. You get not just better performance, but more choices of color, design, and accenting. One thing has not changed though. The expertise of the installer will determine the overall quality and longevity of your roof.

Marriott’s Roofing is particularly demanding about our standards for choosing roofing materials because we stand behind our work.  It’s also important to point out that when you hire us, you are hiring direct. We use our own crews to maintain our standards and not sub-contractors.
Most residential roofing projects are completed inside of a day, but not at the cost of quality. We’ve developed an efficient system with crews that have been working together for many years. Many of our customers go to work in the morning, and if it wasn’t for the agreed date, the new roof and the yard sign, they would have a difficult time knowing that our roofing company was ever there when they return home from work.
As further evidence that we really were there, we follow up with each customer to be absolutely sure that everything is up to their complete satisfaction and all questions are answered.
At Marriott’s Roofing we typically see re-roofing required on two types of homes.  First is a traditional older home that has been re-roofed once, or several times and is due again for a re-roof as a result of wear and tear.  The second is the type we at Marriott’s Roofing hate to see, but see all too often.  These homes are 12 – 15 years old; yet already require a new roof.  The unfortunate reality is that most new homes are built quickly and use builder grade material.  The result is a roof that needs to be redone much earlier than expected.
Regardless of what type of home you have, request your free roofing estimate (Hyperlink this) to discover why Marriott’s Roofing is one of the leading residential roofing companies in the Hamilton, Burlington and Ancaster area.
Roof Repairs

Many roofing issues start small, but if not handled, can end up causing thousands in damages.  Once you contact Marriott’s Roofing, we always take the time to assess your roof to determine the best approach to fix your problem.  If your roof is repairable, we will do whatever we can to make the necessary roof repairs, and provide you with an approximate life expectancy of your current roof.  Even if our recommendation is roof replacement, there are often small roof repairs we can make to buy you some time if the re-roof needs to be scheduled at a later date.  If you have any the issues outlined below, call Marriott’s Roofing today.

Common Roof Repairs We Handle:
  • Loose gutters
  • Missing shingles
  • Cracked / buckled shingles
  • Ice back-up damage
  • Moldy / warped plywood
  • Ventilation issues
  • Missing fascia
  • Improper / inadequate flashings (i.e. chimneys, wall lines)
  • Loose mortar
Inspecting Your Home for Storm Damage

A big storm passes through the night, what should you look for the next morning? It’s simple!
First, take a walk around your property. Anything lying on the ground? Shingles, siding and fascia metal are building materials susceptible to wind damage. Many times you can’t see your entire house from the ground, so finding debris is a clear sign something went wrong.
Second, anything around the exterior of the house look loose? Shingles turned over, loose siding and flashings are all signs that these materials lost their fasteners and need to be repaired.  They are not ‘water-tight’ and can lead to water damage inside the house
Third, check your attic. With a flashlight, look at the plywood and the rafters for trails of water stains. It’s possible that some water reached inside the attic, but was not enough to stain the ceiling or drywall underneath.
Fourth, inspect all rooms in your house for water stains. Tiny closets or storage rooms can go unnoticed if you aren’t diligent in inspecting them after a bad storm. Consequently, days or weeks can go by while the leak gets worse.
Fifth, call or email Marriott’s Roofing and let us help you with your roof repair needs.
